What the app does
Photo Blur & Redact – Privacy helps users hide private information in screenshots and photos before saving or sharing them. Users can import an image from the gallery or camera, apply rectangle-based Blur, Pixelate, and Blackout redactions, then save or share the edited image.
On-device image processing
Screenshots, photos, original images, and edited images are processed on your device. The app does not upload your images to the developer's servers.
The app does not provide cloud storage, user accounts, or server-side image processing.
Saving and sharing images
When you save an edited image, the app creates a new edited image file on your device. When you share an image, the app uses the standard Android share sheet.
Once you choose to share an image to another app or service, that destination is responsible for its own handling, storage, and privacy practices.
Data collection
The developer does not collect, store, or receive your screenshots, photos, original image files, or edited image files.
The app may store local preferences on your device, such as whether vibration or haptic feedback is enabled.
This policy does not claim that no data is collected at all, because the app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), which may process certain advertising and diagnostic data as described below.
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob
The app uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to display ads. Google Mobile Ads may collect or process data such as Advertising ID, device information, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and ad measurement data.
Google provides more information here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Advertising ID
The app declares and may use com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID. This permission is used by Google Mobile Ads for advertising, attribution, fraud prevention, analytics, and ad measurement where allowed by law and your device settings.
Consent and privacy choices
Where required, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before serving personalized ads.
Users in regions where privacy options are required may see a consent form or be given a way to manage ad privacy choices within the app.
